May 27th, 2010 by jacquiNorthwest Ambassador Chris Arnold has launched a worldwide competition which will see participants compete and develop skills in enterprise and social responsibility. The winners will receive a once in a lifetime prize to travel the world for a year meeting entrepreneurs and world leaders.
‘Your Big Year’ is an official ‘Global Entrepreneurship Week’ event that provides an opportunity for two competition winners to embark on an incredible journey, travelling the world for one year, meeting inspirational people, entrepreneurs and leaders.
The competition brings together the three themes of enterprise, social responsibility and global perspective. ‘Your Big Year’ will also raise funds for key chosen charities, including Rights and Humanity.
Thirty Stage One winners will visit Liverpool in the UK to participate in Stage Two, during ‘Global Entrepreneurship Week’ from 15-21 November. This will provide the thirty finalists with an inspiring and truly unique experience, highlighting their entrepreneurial spirit, whilst showcasing Liverpool to the world. Chris is extremely proud of the city and region he comes from and will showcase the region placing the Northwest as the capital of enterprising culture.
A series of challenges in Stage Two will culminate in two deserving winners receiving the extraordinary Grand Prize at the end of ‘Global Entrepreneurship Week’.
