European Ambassadors
May 14th, 2010 by jacquiOn the 29th April 2010, Jo Cocker (Women’s Enterprise Development Manager, NWDA) and Sarah Bevan-Fisher (NW Regional Director, Enterprise UK) ran 2 workshops at a Swedish Women’s Enterprise Ambassador Conference in Stockholm. They were invited by Henrietta Schonenstern from the Swedish Agency for Economic & Regional Growth.
The workshops showcased the Northwest’s unique approach to the ambassador programme and focused on both the SPARK Women’s Enterprise Campaign and the Enterprise Awareness Programme which brings all ambassadors from a variety of backgrounds together and incorporates Media/PR support. The workshops were very well received and some great contacts made. The event was attended by over 500 people and aimed to openly discuss women’s enterprise, share best practice with women in business from across Sweden and the EU and get feedback from both enterprise organisations and ambassadors on the ambassador programme.
Jo and Sarah also had the opportunity to meet several of the newly appointed EU Women’s Enterprise Ambassadors representing Norway, Slovakia and Denmark. It was a very inspirational event and they came away energised and with some great ideas for our own NW Enterprise Ambassador Programme! Watch this space!!
