Eimear Picks Up Good Vibrations from the North East!!!!
November 19th, 2009 by Amelia
As I set out on the road yesterday with my lovely colleague Eimear, visiting us from London, I was prepared for a long, busy day, of Global Entrepreneurship Week event reporting.
Boy were we pleasantly surprised when at our last event of the day, feeling a little weary to say the least, we were offered some complimentary stress relief!
Our final stop of the day was Hexham for the launch of a brand new enterprise, Sound Touch, run by Johanna Sheehan. The company uses a combination of sound vibration and massage techniques to create a sense of calm and relaxation.
After a few canapés and some networking the guests in the fabulous Queens Hall, were asked to lie down and the lights were dimmed. Johanna then proceeded to give us a Gong Bath, “a concert of exquisite sounds that your entire being bathes in.” According to her company’s literature, the vibration of the Gong encourages changes in brain wave activity, enhancing a sense of deep relaxation and tranquillity.
And after fifteen minutes of utter calm and blissful tranquillity, we were gently roused and allowed to enjoy further drinks and more networking, with a much more peaceful atmosphere being felt by all.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable event and something I would definitely recommend to others to try. And as Johanna offers specially tailored 45 minute lunch time sessions, something I could definitely get used to during a busy week at work!
Thanks to Johanna for the great experience and all of the lovely people at Reaction for hosting such a welcoming and different event for Global Entrepreneurship Week!

This event was a fab way to top off my whistle stop tour of the North East! Thanks Amelia for being my chauffeur for the day and introducing me to some of Northumberland’s entrepreneurs!
