Steven and his team show how an afternoon of Entrepreneurs and Tapas can make you feel…happy!

If you’ve never been to Morpeth in Northumberland, I urge you to visit. It’s picturesque, charming and above all is home to some extremely dedicated and enterprising individuals.

Steven Peart runs the Morpeth branch of Northumberland Business Services Ltd and I’m guessing he doesn’t spend every Tuesday afternoon sampling delicious Tapas, looking through local photography exhibitions, trying on hand made jewellery and “quality controlling” mini manicures…but this is no ordinary Tuesday, it’s Global Entrepreneurship Week and this is NBSL Morpeth’s “Meet the Clients” event.

All of the fabulous enterprises that I see showcased before me have all been helped by the services of Steven and his team and they’re more than happy to come along today to demonstrate their passion for enterprise.

This is an open door event where anyone off the street can come in and ask questions, and really get the low down on what it takes to start up a business from scratch.

Tomorrow also sees Steven’s the “Meet the Experts” event where small businesses have the opportunity to come along, no appointment necessary, and really grill some local experts on how best to maximise opportunities in these tough times.

Experts from NatWest, Northumberland County Council, Northumberland Employability and Work Service, Shaw Trust, Learn Direct Leadership & Management,  HMRC, Peter Millican & Co. Solicitors and Wellway Accountants will all be available from 10am to 1pm free of charge to give advice and support to anyone running a business in the area.

So, if you don’t know your P45s from your PAYE, your Intellectual Property from your Public Liability, go along for some friendly advice, without the invoice! You never know, you could leave thoroughly inspired and ready to take on the world!
