The Last Millionaire
November 16th, 2008 by hbourneI caught up on Friday with the BBC 3 programme The Last Millionaire.
Three Make Your Mark Ambassadors feature on in, James Taylor from Sport Stars, Nathanial Peat of Safety Box and Lianne Miller of Young and Pure
The premise is that a load of entrepreneurs are dumped in a city – this week Istanbul – with little money and staying in a hostel and they have to pair up and find a way to make money. Two teams failed miserably – one tried to sell bottles of water with no ice in a hot country and one relied on a part-time actor to help them run two themed evenings neither of which worked.
As for our ambassadors – well Lianne and her team mate ran a party for wannabe models on a private island and James and Nat teamed up to run a party. They got a bunch of local students to help them by getting the bar owner to say that if they got 100 people they could run the event every month. Alas they didn’t quite manage that but their enthusiasm and motivational skills were inspiring to say the least. Shame about the luminous green t-shirts!
Next week they’re in Berlin – it’s worth watching if you like the Apprentice tasks when they go abroad!
I don’t get why the best team always leaves though – means the worst ones are left and I’m guessing people try not to win so they get more exposure from it! Apart from that I enjoyed it and will be watching next week.
